Me and My Opinion

Real girls in their own place.
Not too crazy and just a pinch of naughty...

What’s On My Night Stand?

The landscape of my night stand is always evolving, but right now it looks like this. Here’s what we’ve got:

  • Glass full of sparkling water - I pretty much exclusively drink lemon flavored sparkling water from Trader Joes.
  • Remote - To a TV that is probably only 15 inches. It’s the dinkiest, silliest TV ever. In fact you could barely call it that, but I bought it for $250 right out of college. Still works well enough to play my Sex and the City and Dawson’s Creek DVDs.

  • Candle - One of these candles is from a good friend’s bridal shower three years ago. I have yet to light it.
  • WIRED Magazine - I am a super tech geek, and a year subscription was one of my awesome holiday presents this year.

  • Glasses - I have worn glasses since the second grade. I am legit blind without them.
  • Books - I recently cleaned out the eight book pile that was inhabiting the space. Now I only have two book of essays. One is Chuck Klosterman’s Killing Yourself to Live, and the second is My Heart Is An Idiot, by Dave Rothbart. I love fiction, but as I get more into writing personal essay, I thought it would be a good idea to read more of it as well.

  • Lotion - I love this Red Currant lotion by Votivo. My friend introduced me to it. In movies women are always putting lotion on in bed before they go to sleep, so I thought I should also have some by my bedside.

I’ll let you know when conditions change, but that’s what’s happening in my neck of the woods!

xo,

Heather
